Freshly Isolated Hepatocytes from Human and Animals

Freshly isolated hepatocytes represent a living biological system in which coupled Phase I and II chemical metabolism can be evaluated. In Vitro Technologies provides hepatocyte suspensions and plated hepatocytes.

Hepatocyte suspensions are used in short-term studies (<=4 hours). Plated hepatocytes are recommended for long-term studies. Product sheets for fresh and plated hepatocytes are located in the file library.

The isolation schedule for our fresh animal hepatocytes can be found on the In Vitro Technologies calendar. To receive notifications for both fresh animal and human hepatocytes fill out the hepatocyte notification form.

Features and Benefits

Convenience. Hepatocytes are available as T-flasks, multi-well plates, or in suspension.
High-throughput screening (HTS). Plated primary cultures of hepatocytes in the 96-well format can provide an innovative solution for your HTS program.

Note: In Vitro Technologies can prepare custom orders of fresh hepatocytes from other species not found on this list. To receive a quote on these custom orders, fill out our custom product form. Plated hepatocytes are available on Matrigel^TM for an additional charge.
